Polaroid SX-70 with mixed veneer inlay

$350.00

Released in 1973 the Polaroid SX-70 marked the beginning of a new era with not just a technological marvel of a camera, but the new integral film, the one that is synonymous with Polaroid today. The camera was such a huge success that it sold 700.000 units in the first year.

Though expensive, the SX-70 was popular in the 1970s and retains a cult following today. Photographers such as Ansel Adams, Andy Warhol, Helmut Newton, and Walker Evans praised and used the SX-70.

In case this camera needs further praise the SX-70 has also been used by astronauts…

This particular model has a mixed inlay made of sycamore and snakewood, but we could also create a version with the veneer of your choice.

The camera has been film tested and works perfectly.

Custom inlays are also available for your most treasured cameras. If you’d like us to customize your favorite camera feel free to get in touch with us on wood@doragoodman.com email address.
