Polaroid SLR680 with mixed veneer inlay

$700.00

When the Polaroid SX-70 was released in 1972 it was widely successful. It was a technological marvel, way ahead of its time. 10 years later Polaroid made an attempt to improve on perfection – and they succeeded – thus the Polaroid SLR680 was born. It has taken all the fantastic things from its predecessor, added a wide array of new patented technology (15 to be precise) including autofocus and auto strobe, and the capability to shoot polaroid 600 film. I have owned one for quite a few years now and it has never let me down. Being hooked on nostalgia I love to reminisce over polaroids of my childhood and obsessively collect new memories on this quirky emulsion wherever I go. The only thing that stood in the way of this camera’s perfection was its Porvair skin that disintegrates over time, so we went ahead and gave it a new look.

This particular model has a mixed inlay made of bocote, ipe and birch, but we could also create a version with the veneer of your choice.

The cameras has been film tested and works perfectly.

Custom inlays are also available for your most treasured cameras. If you’d like us to customize your favorite camera feel free to get in touch with us on wood@doragoodman.com email address.
